David Simmons

David P. Simmons became Director of Instruction for USIndoor's Soccer Referee Program in 2009. He is the Executive Director of the Central California Indoor Soccer Referees Association and Past President of the Central California Soccer Referees Association. He is a USSF State Emeritus Referee, USSF Referee Instructor and USSF Licensed Referee Assigner.

He is Director of Officials of the National Premier Soccer League & Women's Premier Soccer League and former Regional Assignor for the World Indoor Soccer League. He is Vice Chairman of the California Soccer Association (North), President of the Central California Soccer League, Executive Director and Past President of the Central California Soccer Referees Association and Executive Director of Indoor Soccer Premiership League.

Dave has 32 years experience as a soccer referee, including 24 years indoors and professional experience in both indoor and outdoor soccer. He is a recipient of the Central California Soccer League's Referee of the Year Award (1979, 1982, 1989) and the Frank Dumas Cup as the top referee, voted by the coaches in the Sacramento Gold Cup. He was the first non-hispanic to be inducted into the Mexican American Sports Association Soccer Hall of Fame and was inducted to the California Soccer Association North Hall of Fame in 2009.

Privately, Dave owns and operates "Loud Papa Soccer Assignments," which consults for indoor soccer facilities and is responsible for assigning referees for US Amateur Division for Northern California for both indoor & outdoor matches. Since 2000, Dave has served on USIndoor's Rules Commission, which establishes the Official Rules of Indoor Soccer.
