Mike Gallups

Mike is a partner in American Sports Centers, with locations in Anaheim, CA, and Avondale AZ.  As Vice President of Operations, Mike is responsible for managing the facilities' day to day operations and executing their business plans. His role also includes hiring and training key personnel for each new American Sports Centers location. Mike’s exceptional organizational skills have been responsible for the success of filling up virtually all of the available prime time hours at American Sports Centers throughout most of the year. In addition, he negotiates all of the contracts with court users, communicates with all of the tenants and vendors and establishes new procedures to increase efficiency and profitability.

Prior to joining American Sports Centers, Mike was an instructor and coach at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, CA. In addition to teaching and coaching, he served on the Teacher’s Union Board for several years. Mike has been very active in coaching youth sports as well as at the high school level. He served with partner, Norm Nowell, on the board of Capo-Dana National Junior Basketball. Mike also represents American Sports Centers at national sports conventions and to local, regional and national organizations affiliated with the sports business. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Commercial Athletic Facilities Association. Mike has spoken at several conferences related to recreational and sports management, including USIndoor's Annual Facility Operators Conference & Tradeshow.
